Re: install script

is it possible, that the exit status is nothing like below?

/var/qmail/bin/qmail-getpw test2; echo $
Segmentation Fault(coredump)
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-getpw test2 kishonti.hu; echo $

/var/qmail/control:ls -l

-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 12 már 15 00:01 locals

While the sqlserver contains these lines:

db_use yes
check_host yes

popconnectionstring user=usermgr password=secretdb dbname=userdb
dbtable passwd
autohomedir no

gid_field gid
home_field home
quota_field quota
enabled_field enabled
startdate_field startdate
stopdate_field stopdate
passwd_field passwd
lastlogin_field lastlogin

All the other files contain only 1 line:

Did you also create an alias-user for that domain ? None of your users
will work if you don't have an alias within that domain.
As you can see, the qmail-getpw-test failed. Could you tell me the exit-
status ? Try /var/qmail/bin/qmail-getpw test2 kishonti.hu ; echo $?
You didn't create any file in /var/qmail/control. Maybe they're created with
make setup or make check or ./config.., but could you give me a listing of all files in that dir (and their content).

Kindly regards,

Hello Michael,

I tried without autohomedir - no help.
I created a new user into the passwd database: name="test2" passwd="qwertz".
The qmail-getpw test:

/var/qmail/bin:qmail-getpw test2
Segmentation Fault(coredump)
/var/qmail/bin:qmail-getpw test2 kishonti.hu

Somebody in an earlier mail wrote that he created 2 real UNIX users (userconsult and usermgr) for the lookups, however as you saw in my script I didnt. Is it a problem?

Thanks for everything,
